Description	:	Frederick was the son of Frederick H. France & Margaret Painter. He married Mary Ann Sprinkle on 7 Nov 1858 in Whiteside Co., IL. They had five children: Andrew J.; Sarah A. (Jenks); Alice Ovilla (Richardson); Dora E.; & Nettie Jane (Johnson). -------- FindAGrave contributor Linda Berney provided the following transcription from a 1914 Nance Co., NE newspaper clipping file: Frederick France was born in the state of Ohio, Nov. 23rd, 1833 and died in Fullerton, Nebr., March 24th, 1914, aged 80 years, 4 months and 1 day. In 1853 he moved to Illinois, White Side county, and in 1858 was united in marriage to Miss Mary Sprinkle. In 1901 Mr. and Mrs. France came to Fullerton, Nebr., where he resided until the time of his death. Five children were born to this union, four daughters and one son, of whom four live: A. J. France, Fullerton, Nebr; Mrs. W. A. Jinks, Sterling, Colo; Mrs R. A. Richardson, Fullerton, Nebr; Dora E., who died March 28, 1881, and Mrs. James Johnson, Charleston, Ind. Over 50 years ago Mr. France was converted and joined the United Brethern church and after coming to Fullerton he united with the United Evangelical church, where he remained a faithful member until his death. He was the last of his father's family, five brothers and one sister having preceded him. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife four children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of friends. - - end transcription
