Description	:	Funeral services were held Monday, from the Church of the Nazarene in Kenmare, for Fred J. Jensen, 68, a resident of the Norma community for 45 years, who succumbed of a heart condition Thursday. The Rev. Miss Ellen Doke and Rev. John Planz officiated, Mrs. Clifford Peterson was vocalist and Mrs. Marvin Gravesen, organist. Bearers were Malte Madsen, Glen O'Neill, Casper Morten, Leslie Duerre, Reuben Duerre and Soren Hansen. Jensen was born in Skjallingsted, Denmark, July 10, 1896 and spent five years in Canada, before coming to the United States fifty years ago. He had lived in this area since 1920. He was married to the former Caroline Carlson at Velley City, April 23, 1921, who survives, together with two sons and three daughters. The sons are Henry of Eugene, Ore., and Marlowe of Los Angeles, and the daughters are Mrs. Ralph (Margie) Campbell of Skagway, Alaska, Mrs. Lyle Carolyn) Alexander and Mrs. Robert (Anna Mae) Laumb, both of Tolley. There are 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Nels of Hemaruka, Canada, Jens of Sidney, Mont., and Ole of Sioux City, Iowa, and a sister, Laura Larsen, who lives in Denmark. He was predeceased by three brothers, Christ at Carrot River, Canada, Jake of Norma and Thorvald of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Ringen Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Mr. Jensen, a son of Mr. & Mrs. Peter Jensen was born July 10, 1869 at Skjallingsted, Denmark. When he was about 18 he came to Canada and then came to the Norma area where he lived 45 years. He married Caroline Carlson on April 23, 1921 in Valley City. Survivors include his wife, 2 sons: Henry Simonsen, Eugene, Oregon and Marlowe Jensen, Los Angeles, California; 3 daughters: Mrs. Ralph (Margie) Campbell, Skagway, Alaska, Mrs. Lyle (Carolyn) Alexander and Mrs Robert (Anna Mae) Laumb both of Tolley; 17 grandchildren; sister: Laura Larsen, Denmark; brothers: Nels Jensen, Canada, Jens Jensen, Sidney, Montana, Ole Jensen, Sioux City, Iowa; 3 brothers proceed him in death.
