Description	:	Frederick was the 8th of 11 known children of Edward and Sarah Daw Reeves. His parents immigrated from England to Ontario, Canada in 1844; only Frederick's youngest sibling, Sarah, was born in Canada. Fred married Mary Ann Gowan in Wellington County, Ontario, Canada ca 1863. They lived in Harriston there until immigrating in 1872 or 1873 to Emerick, Madison, Nebraska. Fred and Mary had 6 children, all born in Harriston except their youngest child, William. Three of their 5 sons died young. William died when he was 5 when he fell down a 75 foot well. Fred married Mary Ann Gowan in Wellington County, Ontario, Canada ca 1863. They lived in Harriston there until immigrating in 1872 or 1873 to Emerick, Madison, Nebraska. Fred and Mary had 6 children, all born in Harriston except their youngest child, William. Three of their 5 sons died young. William died when he was 5 when he fell down a 75 foot well. His headstone is the oldest documented headstone in the Emerick Cemetery in Emerick, NE. Another son, Frederick, died when he was 15 when he fell under the wheels of a passing train and another son, Mark, died when he was 13 from a fall from the Grant Bridge near his home. He was reportedly pushed and drowned. Fred and Mary rented a house on their property and also had a successful store there. While accepting a delivery of goods for the store, a renter, Mrs. Brant, shot and killed Fred. A very long trial was detailed in the newspapers and Mrs. Brant was found guilty of murder. She only served a few months in prison before the governor of Nebraska pardoned her. His widow, Mary, lived another 19 years after Fred's death.
