Read More	KOOZER, FREDERICK MARVIN MARVIN--Frederick Marvin Koozer was born at Geneva, Neb., July 19, 1905. He died here November 15, 1935, at the age of 30 years, 3 months and 27 days. He had been in poor health for a number of years. He had not left his home for three years previous to his death, having been confined to his bed for the past eighteen months, suffering almost unbearable pain most of the time. The doctors and his faithful mother and kindhearted neighbors did what they could for him but without avail. Marvin spent his entire life, save the four years that the family lived at Haigler, near and in Geneva. As a boy, he attended school in his neighborhood and Sunday school at the Geneva Christian church. He never united with the church, but months before he died he gave testimony that he had made his peace with God and longed and prayed for death to relieve him of his sufferings. After leaving school and up to the time that the disease which finally took his life fastened itself upon him, he busied himself working for farmer neighbors and others, driving a truck for the Biba Construction Co. much of the time. As much as they will miss him, the members of his family would not wish him back if he should have to endure the pain constantly as he did. Those left behind are his mother, Mrs. William Koozer, a sister, Mrs. Fred Madison, her husband, and daughter Laveta; a brother Royal and wife Florence, all of Geneva; and another brother, Kenneth of Lexington, Neb. His father preceded him in death in February, 1932, and a brother Earl, in February, 1922. Funeral services were conducted at the Geneva Methodist church, Sunday, November 17, at 2 o'clock by Rev. W. H. Shoaf and Rev. H. J. Plymesser. The sermon based on the text, "In this world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33, was preached by Rev. Mr. Shoaf. Mrs. Shoaf, Mrs. Plymesser, Mr. Plymesser and Henry Drake sang, "Sometime We'll Understand," "Beautiful Isle," and "Going Down the Valley." Floral tributes expressed love and sympathy of many friends. Burial was in the Geneva cemetery beside his father and brother. The Nebraska signal 21 Nov. 1935 page 1.
