Description	:	Royal Franklin Koozer was born on Nov. 19, 1913, at Geneva to William Thomas and rose Fredricka (Dapprich) Koozer. He died on April 4, 1996, at the Fairview Manor in Fairmont at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 15 days. He was one of five children in the family. He grew up on a farm near Strang, with his three brothers, William, Kenneth, and Fredrick; and sister Esther. Read More	Royal Franklin Koozer was born on Nov. 19, 1913, at Geneva to William Thomas and rose Fredricka (Dapprich) Koozer. He died on April 4, 1996, at the Fairview Manor in Fairmont at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 15 days. He was one of five children in the family. He grew up on a farm near Strang, with his three brothers, William, Kenneth, and Fredrick; and sister Esther. He attended rural school Districts No. 45 and No. 65, and following the families move to Geneva, attended Geneva High School. Royal was married to Florence Marie Linder on May 25, 1936, at Mankato Kan., and four sons and one daughter were born to this marriage. Royal spent his adult life working in the construction business. He was employed by Chaney Brothers, Nebraska Department of roads, and for many years by Nichols Construction Company. He later married Ethel Holman on May 29, 1965. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends. One of his favorite leisure activities was fishing. He was preceded in death by parents, William Thomas and Rose Fredricka Koozer; by daughter Beverly Ann; brothers, William Earl; Kenneth Lavalle, and Fredrick Marvin; sister Esther Iona Madison; and daughter-in-law, Fay Koozer. He is survived by four sons, Lynn and wife Suzann; Darrell and wife Janet; Elvin; and Harold (PeeWee) and wife Joyce; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; and niece Laveta (Dean) Willy.
