Description	:	Frederick Radestock, son of Carl and Hannah Radestock, was born in Karstork, Prussia, Germany, February 14, 1842. He came to the United States of America in 1861, landing in New York on June 4th of that year. He grew to manhood and was educated in his native land. He was united in marriage with Elizabeth Humphrey in Bonaparte, Iowa, December 25, 1968. They settled on a farm near Bonaparte and he made stockraising and farming his life work in which he was very successful. His wife preceded him in death April 27, 1911. He leaves to mourn their loss, three... Read More	Frederick Radestock, son of Carl and Hannah Radestock, was born in Karstork, Prussia, Germany, February 14, 1842. He came to the United States of America in 1861, landing in New York on June 4th of that year. He grew to manhood and was educated in his native land. He was united in marriage with Elizabeth Humphrey in Bonaparte, Iowa, December 25, 1968. They settled on a farm near Bonaparte and he made stockraising and farming his life work in which he was very successful. His wife preceded him in death April 27, 1911. He leaves to mourn their loss, three children, one son, and two daughters: - Mrs. Minnie Hill who made her home with him since her mother's death; William of near Bonaparte; and Mrs. June Fitzgerald of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. There are also twelve grand-children. All were present except four grand-children, three of whom are at their home in Walnut Ridge, and Harry Fitzgerald, who is in Heywood Street Barracks, Brooklyn, N.Y. aviation service. He was an affectionate husband and father, a kind and obliging neighbor, a man whose counsel was helpful to his neighbors whom it was a pleasure to him to help. He will be missed by a large number of friends and neighbors. He departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elvin Fitzgerald in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, May 23rd, 1918, aged 76 years, 3 months, and 9 days. The immediate cause of death was paralysis. He was in Arkansas on a visit and been absent from home only a week. The funeral took place from the late home near Bonaparte on Monday afternoon, May 27th, Rev. G. Walter Barber conducting the services, and burial in Bonaparte cemetery. The relatives from a distance who attended the funeral service were: -- Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Fitzgerald and son, Roy, of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; Mrs. Hannah Elliott of Sully, Iowa; and Mrs. John Jenner of Hannibal, Missouri. We desire to thank the friends and neighbors for their many acts of kindness and for sympathy during out great bereavement.
