Obituary Frederrick W H Leitzke Norfolk Daily News (Madison County, NE); Friday, 5 Nov 1937; pg.5. Funeral rites for Frederick W.H. LEITZKE,82,who died Tuesday about 1 a.m. at his home near Norfolk, were conducted Thursday afternoon at the home of his son, Ed LEITZKE, northwest of here, and at Christ Lutheran Church, the Rev. Albert KNOLL, assistant pastor, being in charge. Mr. LEITZKE was born in Germany, May 29, 1855, and as a child came to the United States. When he was 13 years old his family moved to Stanton county. He was married in 1878 to Marie WERBLOW. For twenty-one years they lived on a farm in Iowa, and in 1899 returned to Stanton county which since has been the family home. Surviving are four sons, Edwin, John, and Frank, all of Norfolk, and William, West Point, and two daughter, Mrs. W. G. ECKERT and Mrs. Dora SCHULTZ; fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and four brothers, Gustav and Frank, Neola, IA.; Paul, Julesburg, COLO., and John, Norfolk. Mrs. LEITZKE preceded her husband in death in 1935. Burial was made in the new Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers were; E.H. MATTHES, Leo LEITZKE, Harold LEITZKE, Herbert SCHWARTZ, Harry H.MATTHES, and Walter LEITZKE.
