Description	:	Funeral services for Fritz Schwager, age 92, of O'Neill, will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Christ Lutheran Church in O'Neill with burial in the Chambers cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, with an 8 P.M., Prayer Service. He passed away Sunday evening at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill. Memorials may be directed to Christ Lutheran Church. He is survived by 1 son, Gene Schwager and his wife, Janet of Rural Ewing, 1 daughter, Vicki Babl and her husband, Curt of Bellevue, 5 grandchildren, Gina Pospical, and her husband, Barry of Chambers , Ryan Babl and his wife, Halie of Norfolk, Tyler Babl of Lincoln, Jessica Schwager of Lincoln, Jacy Schwager of Chambers, 1 great-granddaughter, Scarlett Babl of Norfolk, 1 sister Leona Villines of Topeka, KS., 2 brothers, Elmer Schwager of Springview, Nebraska and Walter Schwager of Iowa. Fritz was born December 18, 1914 to August and Christina (Lieding) Schwager in Orchard, Nebraska. He grew up in the Orchard area and moved to rural Chambers in 1946. On May 22, 1949 he married Helen Durre in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chambers, Nebraska. He farmed and ranched east of Chambers until his retirement in 1980 when he and Helen moved into O'Neill. Helen passed away in December of 1988. Fritz was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in O'Neill and received a certificate for over twenty years of perfect attendance. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting, gardening and especially spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1 grandson, Jeff Schwager and 3 sisters. Rev. John Ryding will officiate.
