Read More	GOES TO FINAL REWARD Death Summons Well Known Young Farmer After Long Months of Illness Relatives and friends are mourning the death of Fred Schweppe, Jr., who passed away at 10:20 p. m., Tuesday, October 20, 1942 in Bailey's sanatorium in Lincoln, Nebr. He had been in failing health the last four years. The past year he had suffered with chronic glomerulonephritis. In January he was critically ill with pneumonia, which nearly cost him his life, and be spent seven weeks in the hospital. Again his condition became worse this fall and he entered the hospital on September 7. The last two days of his life he was stricken with uremia. Although every facility of the hospital was available, and the best of medical skill, it was impossible, to save the life of this young man, and he passed away at the age of thirty-seven years, eleven months and eleven days. Frederick William Schweppe, son of Fred Schweppe, Sr., and his wife Anna nee Koch, was born near Cook in Osage precinct on November 9, 1904. The early years of his life were spent on the farm there. He was educated in the schools near his home, and also given thorough instruction in religious teachings of the Evangelical church, so that on March 28, 1920, he was confirmed in St. Paul's Evangelical church of Osage by Rev. J. Abele. On Nov. 12, 1930 he was united in marriage with Miss Edna Damme, and to them was born one son, Darrell Lee, who is now seven years old. For nine years the Schweppe home was on a farm south of Cook, and the deceased was known as one of the community's hard working, most industrious, young farmers. Not until failing health compelled him to, did Mr. Schweppe give up the work he so enjoyed. He was a member of St. Paul's church in Osage, and was a true Christian in his every day living. To his family and friends he was always kind and considerate, and he will be greatly missed by all. Besides his widow and young son, and his aged parents, Mr. Schweppe is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Wm. (Emma) Niebrugge, Louie Schweppe, Henry Schweppe, and Mrs. Herman (Lydia) Ubben, all of this community. To each of them goes the heartfelt sympathy of friends. Funeral services will be conducted this Friday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock from his late home south of Cook, and at 3:00 o'clock at St. Paul's Ev. and Ref. church of Osage. Rev. Theo.
