Description	:	Funeral Held Monday for Mrs. G. Niezink Funeral services were held at the Bethel Christian Reformed church here at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 29, for Mrs. G. W. Niezink, 68 a resident of Sioux Center for the past 17 years, who died at the Sioux Center Community hospital May 26 following a lingering illness. She had undergone amputation of one of her legs a few days for to her passing. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Mrs. Niezink was born May 4, at Nyverdal, The Netherlands, the daughter of Bernard and Johanna Christina Teeselink. She grew to womanhood in Holland and on September 2, 1917 was married To G.W. Niezink. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1921, and settled at Sheldon, where they made their home until moving to Sioux Center 17 years ago. Four children were born to the union, one of whom died in infancy. Survivors include her husband, a son, Bernard, of Orange City; two daughters, Mrs. Richard Oostra of Sioux Center and Mrs. Henry Vis of Orange City; two brothers, Ben Roelofs of Artesia, Cal.; and Hein Roelofs of Hull; three ssters, Mrs. John Spenkelink of Rock Vallev. Mrs. Henry Van Artsen of Rock Rapids and Mrs. Leonard Wildeman of Steen, Minn.; and 12 grandchildren. Others who preceded her in death besides the child who died n infancy were her parents and one sister, Mrs. Arie Wildeman. Sioux Center News 19610-06-01.
