Description	:	Gerrit W. Niezink, 88, Sioux Center, died Saturday, April 28, at the Sioux Center Comm. Hospital after an illness of one year. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Chr. Reformed Church, Sioux Center, with the Rev. Henry Vanden Heuvel officiating. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery with the Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Niezink was born May 4, 1890, in the Netherlands. He married Fredrike Roelfs Sept. 2, 1916, in The Netherlands. They came to the United States in 1922 and settled in the Sioux Center area. Mr. Niezink was a farmer and a trucker. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Rich (Geraldine) Oostra of Sioux Center and Mrs. Henry (Johanna) Vis of Hills, Minn.; a son, Bernard of Hudsonville, Mich.; a brother, Cobes in the Netherlands; two sisters, Mina De Wild and Janna Assink, both in the Netherlands, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
