Gustafson, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Fred Burdillo Moser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Moser, was born Nov. 4, 1878 in Boone County. He died at Creighton Aug. 14. He was the last of a family of three brothers and two half-sisters. Bert, as he was better known, came to Knox County with his parents, when he was five years of age, soon after the completion of the railroad through Creighton. The family settled north of Royal, where he grew to manhood. He married Lillie Brandt of that community on Sept. 29, 1906. Four sons and two daughters were born to them. An infant son and daughter and a son, Harry, preceded him in death. Mr. and Mrs. Moser established their home in the Mars community west of Creighton soon after their marriage. They lived in that community until February 1955, when they purchased a home and moved into Creighton. They observed their golden wedding anniversary that same year. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Oscar of Norfolk, Archie and Cecil of Orchard; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Frances) Tyler, also of Orchard; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
