Description	:	LINNERT, FREDRICK H. FRED—Fred H. Linnert, oldest son of Arnold and Mary Linnert, was born August 23, 1875, at Warrenton, Mo. He passed away at 6 p. m. February 22, 1942, at his home in Geneva, Neb., after a short illness at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 29 days. He was married to Lulu M. Slifer, August 27, 1903, at Longmont, Col. Read More	LINNERT, FREDRICK H. FRED—Fred H. Linnert, oldest son of Arnold and Mary Linnert, was born August 23, 1875, at Warrenton, Mo. He passed away at 6 p. m. February 22, 1942, at his home in Geneva, Neb., after a short illness at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 29 days. He was married to Lulu M. Slifer, August 27, 1903, at Longmont, Col. This union was blessed with a son, Leslie, and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Clark. In early life Mr. Linnert was baptized in the German Lutheran church. Later he was identified with the United Brethren church in Strang, Neb. He lived the greater part of his life in Fillmore county. His occupation was chiefly farming. However, in later years he did work at a number of different jobs, janitor at the courthouse four years; employed at the girls' training school two years' and work for the National Refining Co. over ten years, then retired. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, son Leslie and wife of Ventura, Cal., his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Clark and husband, Jack, and two grandchildren, Lawrence and Lois Clark of Geneva; three sisters, Anna Kaiser of Ruleton, Kas., Lydia Adams of Milwaukee, Wis., and Lena Miles of Geneva; two brothers, John and Ed of Geneva. One grandson, Jackie Eugene Clark, and one granddaughter, Myrna Mae Linnert, preceded him in death. Mr. Linnert spent much of his time helping those in need and will be greatly missed by his many friends. The funeral was held at the Geneva United Brethren church at 2 p. m. Thursday, February 26, Rev. Glenn A. Cain officiating. A quartet, Ed Nelson, Mrs. E. C. Churchill, Mrs. Harry Hosack and Edgar Miller, furnished appropriate music. Mrs. Tom Brower was accompanist. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Signal March 5, 1942 front page. The following is contributed by Anna Geis: Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County) Aug 28, 1903 LINNERT-SLIFER--At high noon Thursday, Aug 27, 1903, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. Fred H. Linnert of Geneva Neb., and Miss Lulu M. Slifer of Longmont. This is the third wedding in the family of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Slifer within a year. Miss Slifer has lived so near our city that she is well known in town and country, all of whom will join in wishing her a pleasant journey through married life. The groom is a well-to-do farmer in Genoa, Neb. The bride and groom will leave on the Burlington for Geneva where they will make their home.
