Description	:	Frederik Wilhelm Lange was born in Germany on Sepember 18, 1868, and was brought to the United States at the age of two years by his parents. William and Albertino Lange, who emigrated here and settled in Wisconsin and later moved to Mapleton, N.D. When he was 18 years of age he left home and went to Missoula, Montana, where he worked until he was 21, when he went to Boston where he took a ship for Liverpool, England, as a sailor, the life he followed for nine years. Read More	Frederik Wilhelm Lange was born in Germany on Sepember 18, 1868, and was brought to the United States at the age of two years by his parents. William and Albertino Lange, who emigrated here and settled in Wisconsin and later moved to Mapleton, N.D. When he was 18 years of age he left home and went to Missoula, Montana, where he worked until he was 21, when he went to Boston where he took a ship for Liverpool, England, as a sailor, the life he followed for nine years. He saw a great deal of the world during these years in the ports of call of ships on which he sailed from the Mediterranean to the China Sea. Quitting the life of a sailor, he returned to Liverpool, England, where he married Jane Aspinall on January 24, 1893. While living in Liverpool, two children were born to the young couple. They left Liverpool on October 29, 1897, for America; their first residence being at Mapleton, N.D. They migrated to Sweet Grass, Montana, when the government lands were thrown open there and filed on a claim upon which they resided for two years. When they moved to Burns, in this county, Mr. Lange worded on the irrigation construction for some time, and was engaged in farming afterwards until June, 1932, when the illness set in from which he did not recover. He was brought to the hospital in Sidney on January 3, last, and on February 24, was taken out to the C.K. Mastvelton home, near Savage, where with his wife he remained until the end came on March 12, 1933. Funeral services were held at Savage and interment was made in the cemetery there. He leaves to mourn his death is wife, Mrs. Jane Lange and three children; Thomas Alexander Lange, Mrs. Albertino Lange Haller, and William James Lange, and 6 grandchildren, all residing near Savage, he also leaves four sisters and two brothers, all residing with their families at Mapleton, N.D.
