Description	:	Mrs. Jane Lange, by so many affectionately known as Grandma Lange, was born in Liverpool, England on Nov. 19, 1874. It was in England that she was converted to Christ as a child, grew to womanhood and married. She was united in marriage to Fredrich Willhelm Lange of Mapletown, N.D. on January 29, 1893. It was in England that she was converted to Christ as a child, grew to womanhood and married. She was united in marriage to Fredrich Willhelm Lange of Mapletown, N.D. on January 29, 1893. Mr. Lange was a sailor by profession. Two children were born to the Langes while still in England, a son, Thomas and a Daughter, Alberena. Mrs. Lange left England in 1910, coming to the United States and making her home in Montana. First living at Marco, then moving on to Crane Creek on the Fred Chousee place where the second son, William James was born, later moving to the Boshard farm and 3 years after that to the Humphry farm where she resided until she moved to Savage 6 years ago. She became a nurse, midwife, and maid to many a household in Dawson and Richland county from 1916 and on, often going when she herself was ill. Always she seemed happy to help another when in need and if possible for her to do anything. Grandma Lange was taken to the hospital at Sidney about seven weeks ago. She attended part or all of Sunday school by complained of not feeling so well. After several weeks at the hospital, she went home for a brief period and was then taken back to the hospital where she passed on to her heavenly home and eternal rest. She was 80 years, 5 months, 20 days at the time of her passing. Before her passing she made many of the arrangements for her funeral. She had expected her pastor, Rev. Rahn to conduct the funeral, but since he is in Philadelphia, this was not possible. She desired the funeral to be held on a Sunday. Mrs. Lange was preceded in death by her husband who died about 21 or 22 years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frank Holler; two sons, Thomas and William, 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, two sister-in-laws Mrs Bertha Otis and Mrs. Kitty Yokum, many nephews and nieces and a host of friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held at the Savage Community church, with Rev. A.J. Borchardt, pastor of the Sidney Christian and Missionary Alliance church officiating. Burial was at Savage Cemetery.
