Description	:	LANGSETH, FREDRIK—Fredrik Langseth was born to Peder O. and Karan Johnson Langseth on May 11, 1901, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He departed this life on January 14, 1983, at the age of 81 years, eight months and three days. As an infant, he was baptized in the Lutheran faith. Read More	LANGSETH, FREDRIK—Fredrik Langseth was born to Peder O. and Karan Johnson Langseth on May 11, 1901, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He departed this life on January 14, 1983, at the age of 81 years, eight months and three days. As an infant, he was baptized in the Lutheran faith. He graduated from Geneva high school in 1919 and attended Creighton University for three years. On October 28, 1926, he was married to Evelyn Heath of Geneva. After operating a café in Geneva, he entered into the banking business in Omaha. He was vice president of the Nebraska Chapter of Senior Members of the Society of Residential Appraisers and enjoyed over 25 years of real estate appraisal experience. After moving to Lincoln, he was secretary-treasurer and manager of the loan department at First Federal Savings and Loan for 11 years. He then joined the Union Loan and Savings Company and served as secretary and then president of that company. Upon retirement he served on the board of directors. Fred loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed many hunting trips to the mountains. His consideration for others and his gracious manner will be long remembered by those who knew him. In 1974, due to ill health, he moved to Holmes Lake Manor in Lincoln where he resided until his death. His wife, Evelyn, and his parents preceded him in death. Survivors include a sister, Valborg Cousins of Topeka, Kas.; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lila Heath, Mrs. Phyllis Heath and Mrs. Meryl Archer; nieces, nephews and friends. Services were held at Hodgman, Spain, Roberts Mortuary in Lincoln on Tuesday, January 18. The Rev. Royal Peterson officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery with Dr. Donald F. Marsh officiating. Pallbearers were Rodger Anderson, Lou Domeier, Max Dowdy, Larry, Harlan and Lowell Heath. The Nebraska Signal 27 January 1983 page 4.
