Freelove Rainbolt was born to Elijah and Elnora Davis Rainbolt near Hobbyville, Greene county, Indiana, February first, 1849, aged 79 years and 23 days. When she was quite young she united with the Church of Christ and lived a faithful member for over fifty years. She was united in marriage to David F. Byers July 26, 1866 and they lived together happily for exactly forty seven years as it was on July 26, 1913 that he was called to his last reward. They lived for a number of years in Oolitic before moving to this city. The deceased had lived in Bedford for the past twenty five years, the last fourteen years of her life having been spent in the Brazzle home. She was a tender and loving mother. She was of a quiet disposition imbued with a friendly spirit that won friends for her wherever her path might lie. She was a loyal member of the Woman's Relief Corps and always attended when her health would permit. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E. Brazzle and Mrs. Omar Thoma! s of Bedford, two sons, Howard Byers of Bedford and Oliver Byers of Peerless, a sister Mrs. Mattie Glimpse, fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at the Church of Christ by Rev. Scott of Borden, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock followed by burial in the Lowder cemetery near Springville.
