She was born on July 9, 1941 in West Lebanon, IN, the daughter of Arnet and Twylamae Elizabeth (Lohmeyer) Shoaf. Freida was a lifelong Warren County resident. She attended West Lebanon Schools. Freida married Richard Wayne Owens on June 26, 1958 in Williamsport, IN and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2007. In her early years, Freida worked at Seeger High School as a janitor. She later owned her own cleaning business, Owens Cleaning, which she operated for 30 years. Freida was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church. She was a very hard worker. Freida enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers and mowing her yard. Freida was an excellent cook, known for her fantastic roast beef and cookies. She is survived by two children; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three siblings. Freida was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and and daughter-in-law, Mechel. A private funeral service will be held at Grady Funeral Home. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery.
