Description	:	Son of Flora Ann Cottingham and Colin A. Hasty. Frank married Annie Nesbit Robertson on October 21, 1903, in Columbus County, North Carolina. Frank and Annie had nine children. In addition, they adopted and raised two grandchildren, Raymond Eugene Hasty and Martha Ann Hasty Harrelson, whose biological mother was their daughter Alma Irene Hasty Merritt. Grandsons Lacy and Jimmy Lancaster also lived for a time with them after the boys' parents, Lacy and Blanche Hasty Lancaster, separated. Franklin Hasty, 76, of Buie died in the Scotland Memorial Hospital early Friday morning. He was the son of the late Flora Cottingham Hasty of Little Rock, S.C., and Colin A. Hasty of Scotland county. He has lived in Buie since 1922 and retired in 1946, after being connected with the Atlantic Coast Line railroad for 36 years. Funeral services were held from the Buie Methodist church of which he was an active member Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. V. Dunn assisted by the Rev. M. C. Bowling, pastor of the Philadelphus Presbyterian church. Interment following in the Caledonia Methodist church cemetery near Laurinburg. He is survived by his wife, the former Annie Robertson, of Columbus County; seven daughters, Mrs. Burris Shankle, Fayetteville, Mrs. Loyd Merritt, Buie, Mrs. Percy Callahan, and Mrs. Jack Jones, Laurinburg, Mrs. Elmer Midgett, Manteo, Mrs. James Scarborough, Nags Head, and Mrs. A. L. Harrelson, Rocky Mount; three sons, James F. Hasty, Manteo, Harold W. Hasty, U. S. Army, Fort Jackson, S. C., Raymond E. Hasty, Laurinburg; 25 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, D. A. Hasty, Laurinburg.
