He was born in Akron, Aug. 15, 1892, and was the son of Davis Hollis and Aretta MASTELLER BURNS. He was married in Rochester Aug. 18, 1915, to Edna E. TAYLOR, who survives. He was born in Akron, Aug. 15, 1892, and was the son of Davis Hollis and Aretta MASTELLER BURNS. He was married in Rochester Aug. 18, 1915, to Edna E. TAYLOR, who survives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Jean PAULUS of Elmhurst, Ill., and three grandchildren. He was a member of the Methodist church, Masonic lodge, Scottish Rite, Mizpah Shrine in Fort Wayne, Eel River Shrine club and Rotary club in North Manchester. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Bourbon where he grew to manhood. A baker by trade, he lived in Rochester for a number of years, and was employed by Oren KARN. In 1922, he moved to Mentone where he owned and operated a bakery for many years, distributing bakery products throughout the community. In 1934, he purchased another bakery in North Manchester, which he operated until 1954 when he retired. In 1937 he helped organize the First National Bank in Warsaw and has been a director since that time. In 1952 he helped establish the Commercial Investment Inc. in Warsaw and has served as a director since then. Rites are incomplete. Published in the Rochester(IN) News-Sentinel, Tuesday, April 22, 1958 Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Bender funeral home in North Manchester for Furel Robert BURNS, 65, who died at his home in that city Monday morning. He was a native of Akron. Dr. Orrin MANIFOLD and Dr. V. G. SCHWALM will officiate at the last rites and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rochester. Friends may call at the funeral home. Mr. Burns helped organize the First National Bank of Warsaw and the Commercial Investment Inc. of Warsaw. He was a director of both firms at the time of his death.
