Description	:	Kenneth Smith of Mount Holly died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at his home. He was 83. Born in Mount Holly, Mr. Smith was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1947 graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional School, where he was a three-sport athlete and was a member of the RV Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Smith was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea. Ken was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 36 years, and also retired from the Burlington County Times in the circulation department. Born in Mount Holly, Mr. Smith was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1947 graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional School, where he was a three-sport athlete and was a member of the RV Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Smith was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea. Ken was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 36 years, and also retired from the Burlington County Times in the circulation department. He was a longtime, faithful member of First Baptist Church of Mount Holly, where he served on many boards. He enjoyed playing piano. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ken is survived by Joan, his wife of 59 years; three children: Kathy Boyd (Keith) of Sanford, Fla., Kenneth Smith (Cheryl) of Bethlehem, Pa., and Debbie Lona (Tim) of Jackson, N.J.; six grandchildren: Lindsay Dorsey (Evan), Lauren Boyd, Sloane Smith, Gunnar Smith, Kelsey Lona, and Kyle Lona; a great-granddaughter, Ava Dorsey. He is also survived by a brother, Les Smith of Lumberton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Mount Holly, 1341 Woodlane Road, Eastampton. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
