Heiser was born on June 15, 1937, to Herman and Helen (Levi) Heiser at their farm home near Monowi, Nebraska. Gail graduated from Lynch Public School in 1954 and stayed home to help his folks on their farm. In 1955, Gail joined the National Guard and was involved in meetings and guard duty. He became more active in the farming industry. On June 15, 1963, Gail married Viola (aka Violet or Vi) Klasna Kinney. In 1965 they bought a farm of their own and after doing lots of remodeling of cattle yards and house, they moved into their present home in 1967. Gail and Vi lived on/in this farm home, not far from Alford Cemetery, not far from the Herman Heiser farm home, and not far from Monowi for over 47 years. In the 1970’s they became the parents of three sons, Galen, Casey, and Trent. Gail and Vi raised their family on their farm home southwest of Monowi, Nebraska. Gail served on several boards in the community and county. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years. He loved ball games and football games. Gail was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball and Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting friends. He was very proud of his family and grandchildren. Gail is survived by his wife, Viola; children, Galen (Tammy) of Stuart, Casey (Mandy) of Lynch, and Trent (Jennifer) of Lincoln; grandchildren, Anthony, Dawson, and Collin Heiser of Stuart, Shelby and Samantha Heiser of Lynch, and Traven Heiser of Lincoln; brother, Gary (Charlise) Heiser of California; sister-in-law, Dolores Heiser of Lynch; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Helen Heiser; and brother, Harlan Heiser. Gail will be buried in their family plot at Alford Cemetery, southwest of Monowi, Nebraska. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Gail’s wishes were to have no visitation, no memorial services, and no funeral. He requested to have his body donated to Medical Science at Vermillion, South Dakota. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. (brockhausfuneralhome.com/obituary)
