He loved all animals and kept both domestic and wild animals. Fixing anything mechanical was a special talent of Sparky's. Sparky married Luella Christophersen in December of 1949 and to this union, two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Jennie, and brothers, Vern and Charles "Bill" Brant.
