Description	:	DIED--At his home in Lincoln, Sunday, August 4, at nine o'clock p.m., of dropsy, Gaines C. Hollingshead, aged thirty-eight years, one month and two days. He is survived by his wife, and Miss Ethel, a daughter by his first wife. Mr. Hollingshead had been in the employ of the Burlington railway sixteen years, ten years of which were passed at Fairmont as station operator. Read More	DIED--At his home in Lincoln, Sunday, August 4, at nine o'clock p.m., of dropsy, Gaines C. Hollingshead, aged thirty-eight years, one month and two days. He is survived by his wife, and Miss Ethel, a daughter by his first wife. Mr. Hollingshead had been in the employ of the Burlington railway sixteen years, ten years of which were passed at Fairmont as station operator. Owing to failing health, he was transferred to Lincoln and given employment of a different character. His last illness was of only a week's duration. The remains were brought to Fairmont Wednesday, accompanied by Mrs. Hollingshead and her sister, Miss Gail Myers of Chicago; a brother, William Hollingshead and son of Ravenna and George George Carson of Geneva. Funeral services were held from the Congregational church at two o'clock, under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity, Rev. Lemkau officiating, and interment was made in the Fairmont cemetery. The daughter, Miss Ethel, accompanied by her grandfather, A.W. Loomis, arrived from Minneapolis, Kansas, to attend the funeral. Mrs. Hollingshead and her sister left with Mr. Loomis Thursday for a visit at his Kansas home. ------------------------------- Married Lizzie Loomis on June 11, 1894.
