Description	:	This community was startled and shocked last Saturday morning when told that Mrs. Lizzie Loomis Hollingshead was dead. She was the wife of Mr. Gaines Hollingshead, the B.&M. railroad agent at Aurora, Neb., and oldest daughter of Postmaster Loomis of Fairmont. Although born in Wisconsin, she came while quite young to Fairmont and was loved by all. Cressman, who preached a very impressive... Read More	This community was startled and shocked last Saturday morning when told that Mrs. Lizzie Loomis Hollingshead was dead. She was the wife of Mr. Gaines Hollingshead, the B.&M. railroad agent at Aurora, Neb., and oldest daughter of Postmaster Loomis of Fairmont. Although born in Wisconsin, she came while quite young to Fairmont and was loved by all. Her remains were, by her parents and husband, brougtht to Fairmont and on Monday, October 8, at 4 p.m. , the funeral services were conducted in the Congregational church by the pastor, Rev. A.A. Cressman, who preached a very impressive sermon from the text, "Prepare to meet thy God." The house was crowded to its utmost capacity, being one of the largest funeral that has been held in Fairmont for a long time. Her Sunday school class, twelve in number, acted as honorary pallbearers and sang the closing hymn at the church. The class in the high school of which she was last year a member, attended in a body. One of their number expressed the feelings of the class in rhyme with which the pastor closed his sermon. At the cemetery, the classes marched single file by the grave and dropped into it a rose and a piece of evergreen, making a deep impression upon all. The floral decorations by the high school, teachers, Y.P.S.C.B and other friends were very pretty and appropriate plainly indicating the esteem in which Lizzie was held by all and conveyed to companion, parents and sister, their heartfelt sympathy in this sad and sorrowful affliction.
