Description	:	Garnet was born to Henry & Adele Jors and was later adopted & raised by John and Meta Paulsen. She grew up in Mapleton, Iowa where she attended school and enjoyed time riding her horse. She married Leslie Witt on December 26-1940 at the Bethany Lutheran Parsonage in Elkhorn, Nebraska and they were blessed with 4 sons. They enjoyed 48 years of wedded bliss until Leslie's passing in 1988. Garnet and Leslie lived in Benson for short time before moving to Elkhorn. She worked at Younker's, Kilpatrick's and Brandies as sales clerk in Women's Apparel and later at Mount Michael and owned and operated a coffee shop in Elkhorn. She enjoyed dancing, annual family vacations in Colorado, Bingo and the horse races at Ak-Sar-Ben. Garnet was always well dressed, a good cook and loved to follow the activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was classy, loving, hard working who loved to shop. She enjoyed reading, watching television and was an avid Husker Fan. Garnet savored a good catfish dinner, a chilled glass of White Zin and dinner out at Farmers Brown's and Old Country Buffet.
