Description	:	Gary Edwin Dawson was born to Lloyd Ira Dawson Sr. and Magdalene Christine (Moos) Dawson on January 25, 1942, at Friend, and passed away October 21, 1992, in Boise, Id., at the age of 50 years, 8 months, and 25 days. He was one of four children in the family. Gary was raised in Fairmont and graduated from the Fairmont High School with the Class of 1959. Read More	Gary Edwin Dawson was born to Lloyd Ira Dawson Sr. and Magdalene Christine (Moos) Dawson on January 25, 1942, at Friend, and passed away October 21, 1992, in Boise, Id., at the age of 50 years, 8 months, and 25 days. He was one of four children in the family. Gary was raised in Fairmont and graduated from the Fairmont High School with the Class of 1959. After graduation he went to Kearney State College and received his teaching degree. Gary then taught at different schools in Nebraska, during this time he coached football, basketball and track. Then Gary and his family moved to Grand Island where he was employed with an insurance company. Gary was married to Sandy Heuepel of Hastings, on December 27, 1989. They moved to York, where Gary was employed at John Kohl Auto Center. They then moved to Boise, Id., where he worked as a car dealer. Gary was a member of the Fairmont Community Church and a member of the AF&FM Masonic Lodge. Gary loved teaching children, and also loved football, basketball, track and tennis. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Ira Dawson Sr. of Fairmont. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; a son Scott; a daughter, Katy Dawson; mother, Magdalene Dawson; brother Lloyd Dawson Jr.; two sisters, Marilyn and husband, John Linton; Valerie Martel; and by five nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church, Fairmont, on Wednesday, October 28, with Rev. Tony Woodward officiating. Nancy Jo Galusha accompanied Dick Bauer who sang "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art." Interment was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal November 5th, 1992 page 9.
