Description	:	Gary Eugene Neitzel, 35, Tulare, died Sunday, August 31, as a result of an accidental asphyxiation. Neitzel was working two miles south of Tulare in a well where pressure tanks and motors were located. He was in the process of fixing a pump when he was overcome by the gas. Rescue attempts were made but rescuers were not successful in pulling him out in time, according to information received Tuesday morning from the Spink County Sheriff's office and Spink County Coroner, Dick Thelen. Burial was in Tulare Cemetery under the direction of COleman Thelen Funeral Home, Redfield. Pallbearers were John Bonin, Herb Blume, Tim Burger, Larry Kohen, Dwayne Stoner and Alan Schultz. Honorary pallbearers were all his friends and relatives. He was born January 9, 1945 at Redfield to Mr. and Mrs. Max Neitzel. He lived and farmed in the Tulare area all his life. He married Sue Ann Hardie February 23, 1963. Neitzel was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Tulare and the Yelduz Shrine Temple of Aberdeen. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa and two sons, Alan and Monte, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Dale (Maxine) Browning, Aberdeen; and his parents, at Tulare.
