Gary was born March 19, 1962, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of Janet L. (Uphold) Sisler, Friendsville, MD and the late Glenn R. Sisler. "BUGS" SISLER MARCH 19, 1962 - JANUARY 30, 2017 It is with great sadness that the family of Gary R. “Bugs” Sisler, 54, of McHenry, MD, announces his sudden passing on Monday, January 30, 2017, in Keyser, WV. Gary was born March 19, 1962, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of Janet L. (Uphold) Sisler, Friendsville, MD and the late Glenn R. Sisler. Gary was an owner of Sisler Lumber Co., Slopeside Market and was a lifelong resident of Garrett County. Bugs was a 1980 graduate of Northern High School and a 1981 graduate of Vale Technical Institute. Gary was an organ donor. Bugs always had a kind word and warm smile for all. The greatest joy in his life was his family. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years, Lisa (Dixon) Sisler. He was extremely loving and proud of his sons, Preston G. Sisler and wife, Jessica L., Downers Grove, IL and Matthew R. Sisler and girlfriend, Angela L. Mathais, McHenry, MD. He was very excited for the arrival of his first grandchild in May. Gary is also survived by three brothers, Eddie Sisler, Ben Sisler and Jason Sisler, all of Friendsville; two sisters, Sandy Guritza, Greensboro, PA; Liz Sisler-Wagner, Oakland; father-in-law, Bernie Dixon, Friendsville; three sisters-in-law, Debbie Crabtree and husband, Chris, Oakland; Barb Wierzbicki and husband, Bill, Morgantown, WV; Patti Shreve and husband, Leon, Oakland; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Craig Bolyard officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Crabtree, Nick Crabtree, Taylor Crabtree, Zach Shreve, John Wagner, Brian Guritza, Corey Sisler and Ben Orendorf.
