Description	:	TURNER, GAYLE ELIZABETH — Gayle Elizabeth Dearking Turner was born to Henry Dearking and Elizabeth Gewecke Dearking on September 3, 1922, at Ohiowa, and passed away December 22, 1989, at Heritage of Geneva in Geneva, at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 19 days. She was one of five children in the family. Gayle attended a country school near Ohiowa to the eighth grade. The family then moved to Geneva. Read More	TURNER, GAYLE ELIZABETH — Gayle Elizabeth Dearking Turner was born to Henry Dearking and Elizabeth Gewecke Dearking on September 3, 1922, at Ohiowa, and passed away December 22, 1989, at Heritage of Geneva in Geneva, at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 19 days. She was one of five children in the family. Gayle attended a country school near Ohiowa to the eighth grade. The family then moved to Geneva. Gayle was united in marriage to Louis Ivan Turner on December 6, 1947, and to them one daughter, Shirley Elizabeth and one son, Dale Henry were born. Gayle worked for a short time at the Maryland Café. She enjoyed her cats, dogs, gardening and music. She played with her brother, Joe, for many years in his orchestra. She loved to play the piano, saxophone and clarinet. Gayle had been ill for many years and was in and out of the Fillmore Country Hospital many times, and in December she entered Heritage of Geneva. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Geneva for many years. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Dearking three brothers, her twin brother, Dayle, Joe and Vern; and by one sister, Rose Philippi. She is survived by her husband; three children; two grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva on Wednesday, December 27, with the Rev. Cal Leeds officiating. Musical selections were “In the Garden” and “What a Friend.” Pallbearers were Sheldon Johnson, Ben Pekar, Fred Mohlman, Ed Taylor, Ron Fleecs and Rodney Little.
