Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Wibaux and from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Wibaux Bible Church in Wibaux. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Wibaux Bible Church in Wibaux with Pastor Rick Varnum officiating. Interment will be at St. Philip's Cemetery in St. Philips, Montana. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Wibaux has been entrusted with the arrangements. Genevieve was born on January 4, 1927 on a farm north of Beach, a daughter of Frank and Julie (Dvorak) Tosner. She received her education in rural schools in Little Beaver and Bonnieview Schools north of Beach and one year in Beach. Genny worked at Gordon's Bakery in Beach for over two years and in Ozzie's Café in Wibaux for one year in 1947. Genny met and later married John Marciniak, Jr. on January 27, 1948 at St. Philip's Catholic Church. They lived on a farm and ranch south of Wibaux. To this union six children were born. She was very active at St. Philip's Catholic Church teaching religious classes for many years and was secretary-treasurer for the Rosary Society for four years. When she moved into town after her husband passed away she attended St. Peter's Catholic Church and later became a member of the Wibaux Bible Church in 2009. Genny moved to the Golden Valley Manor on September 10, 2013. In the short time she was there she had the opportunity to get reacquainted with some childhood friends. The fellowship she had there brought her joy. Genny was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother, sometimes working late into the night to be ready for company the next day. Her grandchildren especially enjoyed the delicious buns she made for special occasions. Genny was preceded in death by her husband, John; two sons, Johnny and Richard Marciniak; her parents; two brothers, Frank and Albert Tosner and one sister, Helen Hanson. Genny is survived by three daughters, Elaine Lorbiecke and her husband Daniel of Glendive, Montana, Mary Ann Score and her husband Pete of Glasgow, Montana and Jean Zinda and her husband Ted of Wibaux; one son, Stanley Marciniak of Wibaux; two sisters, Betty Glower of Beach and Mary Efta of Wibaux; three sisters-in-law, Verna Sokoloski of Wibaux, Verna Tosner of Beach and Marion Wosepka of Dickinson, North Dakota; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
