Description	:	Genevieve C. Tesar age 90 of Lincoln, NE formerly of York, NE died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Lincoln, NE. She was born December 17, 1919 at York, NE to John and Mary G. (Price) Cunningham. Genevieve was a secretary for the York County Clerk and the York County Attorney for several years before joining Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha and the Rio Grand Railroad in Denver, CO where she met her husband Eugene J. Tesar age 90 of Lincoln, NE formerly of York, NE died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Lincoln, NE. She was born December 17, 1919 at York, NE to John and Mary G. (Price) Cunningham. Genevieve was a secretary for the York County Clerk and the York County Attorney for several years before joining Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha and the Rio Grand Railroad in Denver, CO where she met her husband Eugene J. Tesar. They were married in Denver on November 25, 1950. Genevieve moved, with the family, to York in 1966 where Gene had taken a job at Kroy Metal Products. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Altar Society, the York General Hospital and York General Hearthstone Auxiliaries and the League of Women Voters. She enjoyed bowling, cards, horse racing, and football. She was always interested in local, state and national politics. First and foremost though for Genevieve, was her family. She looked forward to times when her family gathered together and shared laughter and good times. She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Sutko and Michele Tesar both of Lincoln, and Christina (Dave) Turner of Ankeny, IA; one son Brian (Emily) Tesar of Billings, MT. Her grandchildren include; Jeff (Nicole) DeBoer of Lincoln, Jill (Mike) Bialis of Lincoln, Joe Sutko of Lincoln, Jackson and Celina Turner of Ankeny, IA, and Gabriele Tesar of Billings, MT. Her great grandchildren are Maci Zeiger, Ashlyn and Logan DeBoer, and Kale Bialis. Her brother Robert and his wife Mary Cunningham of York, and a sister Betty Cunningham of Lincoln are also surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, three sisters, one daughter-in-law, and two nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in York with Monsignor James Reinert officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery east of York. A Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the Rosary on Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to Milder Manor Memory Support Unit, 1750 South 20th, Lincoln, NE 68502.
