Description	:	Obituary: Rites are held for G. A. Linn Last rites for George Augustus Linn, 65, who died at his home Saturday afternoon were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Fred Bader funeral home. Rev. C. O. Gulleen of the Sinai Lutheran church officiated. Two vocal duets, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old Rugged Cross," were sung by Mrs. Vern Johnson and Mrs. Harry Anderson. Born in Adams county, Ia., on January 16, 1876, Mr. Linn lived in Modale, Ia., and Arkansas City, Kans., where he was with the Santa Fe Railroad until 1903. At that time he came to Blair and worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad at Fremont. He was bridge carpenter and bridge foreman until his retirement August 1, 1940. He was married to Miss Mabel E. Hester in Fremont December 20, 1905. Mr. Linn was a member of the Woodmen of the World Railroad Maintenance of Way. Survivors include his wife, two daughters; Mrs. Floyd Williams, Cedar Bluffs, Neb.; Mrs. Floyd LeGrand, Galesburg, Ill., one son; George, Fremont; four grandsons; Donald LeGrand, Kenneth LeGrand, Charles Williams, and David Linn.
