Read More	"The Tecumseh Chieftain" Thursday, January 23, 2003 Section A-page 5 OBITUARY GEORGE BUSS George Buss, 100 years of age, of Broomfield, CO formerly of Sterling, died in Broomfield on January 16, 2003. He was born on June 23, 1902 at Sterling, was baptized on June 30, 1902 by Pastor August Finhaber and confirmed on May 27, 1917 by Pastor Deffner. He married Ida Huls on December 21, 1943 at Marysville, KS with Pastor O. Meyer officiationg. They lived and farmed at Sterling, before moving to Colorado in 1976. He was a former member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Sterling, and was currently a member of the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church of Broomfield, CO. Survivors include on daughter, one granddaughter, and one grandson, both of Broomfield, Co; one great-granddaughter, one brother, Wilhelm Buss of Broomfield, CO; one sister, Frieda Daeschler of Spokane, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Elizabeth Haferman Buss; his wife Ida who died on August 27, 2002; a daughter Betty Lou who died in infancy; one son Donald Buss and his wife Linda; two granddaughters Dawn Buss and Janelle Buss; brother John, Krene, Henry, Herman and August Buss; one sister, Anna Murphy and a half-sister, Tena Meints. Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Zink-Fox Funeral Home of Sterling, with Pastor Gregory Thompson officiating. Burial in the Sterling Cemetery.
