Description	:	George Dawson moved to Clark County, Ohio, about 1803 as a young man of about 19 years, he removed to that area from Kentucky and built a log cabin southwest of Catawba near the bubbling water of a spring which wandered on to the Buck Creek. This spring became known a "Dawson Spring". It was to this cabin George's parents later journeyed to from Kentucky. George Dawson farmed his land in Ohio and also operated a mill which was built at Dawson Springs on Buck Creek near his home.
