He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River, where funeral service was held on Thursday, January 17, 1985. Pastor Richard Weaver officiated with interment at the United Church Cemetery, New Germany. Hymns sung were "The Lord is My Shepherd," "What A Friend we Have in Jesus," and "O God, Our Help in Ages Past," with organist David Zwicker. Pallbearers were Merlyn Whynot, Ronald Robar, Calvin Beck, Basil Robar, Alan Robar, and Richard Martell. Honourary pallbearer was Ralph Morgan. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
