Description	:	Albion – George Constable, 68, of the Unity Road, died Thursday, March 14, 1991, at a Waterville Hospital, following a long illness. He was born September 24, 1922, in Moncton, NB, Canada, the son of John H. and Hester (Crossman) Constable. Also known as "Buster", he lived in Boston until his teens, when he came to Unity to work for his uncle and namesake, George Edward Constable. He became a U. Read More	Albion – George Constable, 68, of the Unity Road, died Thursday, March 14, 1991, at a Waterville Hospital, following a long illness. He was born September 24, 1922, in Moncton, NB, Canada, the son of John H. and Hester (Crossman) Constable. Also known as "Buster", he lived in Boston until his teens, when he came to Unity to work for his uncle and namesake, George Edward Constable. He became a U. S. citizen while serving n the Army during World War II. He was stationed in Hawaii, serving in the Pacific Infantry. He was a self-employed poultry farmer and inspector for Constable Hatcheries for many years, and later worked for the Keyes Fibre Company. He had been disabled since 1980, and enjoyed wood carving in later years. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Unity, Benjamin Berry Post #50, Unity American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1295, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1058, United Paperworkers Union Local 449. He was a former Scoutmaster in Unity, King Lion of Unity Lion's Club, the Grange and snowmobile club. He enjoyed recent winters in Marathon, Florida. He is survived by his ex-wife, A. Beatrice (Tucker) Constable of Unity; one son, Roland G. Constable of Skowhegan; four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Linda) Picard, Mrs. Richard (Rosemary) Pillsbury, both of Unity, Mrs. Peter (Constance) Currid of York Beach and Mrs. Kevin (Catherine) Higgins of Lebanon, N.H.; two sisters, Amy Blakney and Lennie Harris of Moncton, NB, Canada; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one aunt; one uncle; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and his loving companion of 10 years, Ethel Brown of Albion. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Unity Union Church, with the Rev. Charles Kinney officiating. (Published in the Waterville Morning Sentinel)
