The body will be returned here and taken to the Johnson funeral chapel pending funeral arrangements. “HAFF SERVICES,” From “Ottumwa Courier,” August 8, 1944: Funeral services for George Everett Haff, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Haff of Ottumwa route 4, who was drowned Sunday at Sidney, Neb., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson funeral chapel. The services will be in charge of the Rev. A.D. McClure and burial will be made in Shaul cemetery. His uncles will serve as pallbearers. He was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita, and one brother, Andrew Max.
