Description	:	George F. Jewell, prominent farmer of the Fifth District, who had suffered acutely of carcinoma of the stomach for the past year, died at his home in Bryantown at 5 o'clock Monday morning. He was 66 years old. He was seized with a particularly severe attack a week ago, never rallied and constantly grew weaker until the end. Jewell, prominent farmer of the Fifth District, who had suffered acutely of carcinoma of the stomach for the past year, died at his home in Bryantown at 5 o'clock Monday morning. He was 66 years old. He was seized with a particularly severe attack a week ago, never rallied and constantly grew weaker until the end. Originally from Kent County and a son of the late George Jewell, he came to Queen Anne's County many years ago and was an active and prominent farmer until illness forced his retirement. His wife, the former Cora R. Tolson, of Kent Island, preceded him to the grave nine years ago. Surviving are five daughters and six sons: Mrs. Owen Yewell and Mrs. Howard Todd, of Bryantown; Mrs. Robert Bambary, of Grasonville; Mrs. Robert McWilliams, of Baltimore; Miss Pauline Jewell and Messrs. Jake, Harry, Alfred, Percy, Walter and Price, all of the Bryantown vicinity. He also leaves 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. Jewell was a member of the M. E. Church at Perry's Corner, but due to the conditions of the roads, funeral services were held in Grasonville M. E. Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. C. D. Sharpless, of Queenstown, officiating. Interment took place in Stevensville Cemetery. Note: Wife, Cora R. Jewell, died Feb. 16th, 1924 per MD State Archives records.
