| Description | : | Lethbridge Herald January 9, 1956 page 11 George and Frank LeVasseur arrived from New Brunswick, travelling part way on the Missouri River. They homesteaded two miles east of town, returning east in 1884 they drove a bull team from Fort Macleod to Fort Benton. George built a livery barn on the Island in Fort Macleod, later sellng to his brother-in-law, Harry Stedman. The two LeVasseur brothers then settled in Pincher Creek.
