Description	:	George Gramkow, son of Charles and Louisa Gramkow, was born March 19, 1881 in Scott County Iowa and died September 13, 1960 at the Myrtue Memorial Hospitsl, Harlan at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 24 days. At the age of 6, he moved with his parents to a farm northwest of Persia where he lived until he moved to Harlan in 1944. March 22, 1905, he was married to Lottie A. Read More	George Gramkow, son of Charles and Louisa Gramkow, was born March 19, 1881 in Scott County Iowa and died September 13, 1960 at the Myrtue Memorial Hospitsl, Harlan at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 24 days. At the age of 6, he moved with his parents to a farm northwest of Persia where he lived until he moved to Harlan in 1944. March 22, 1905, he was married to Lottie A. Hawkins in the Methodist Church in Logan and to this union two daughters were born. After moving to Harlan, Mr. Gramkow worked at Tredway Implements until December, 1955, when he retired. Survivors include his wife Lottie A. of Harlan; two daughters, Mrs. Claus (Kathryn) Eckman of Springdale, Arkansas and Mrs. Harold (Lucile) Hunt of Persia; two granddaughters, one great grandson; and three brothers, Albert, John, and Harry, all of Persia. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Services were held September 16, 1960 at Pauley Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Pfaff officiating. Pallbearers were John Spracklin, Robert Janssen, Willis Gramkow, Henry Zacharias, Robert Zacharias, and Charles Gramkow. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery, Persia.
