McVey Sr., 83, a resident of Ottumwa for over 40 years, died Friday at 11:45 p.m. at the St. Joseph Hospital. He was a retired paint contractor. He was born Dec 19, 1877, in Indianapolis, Ind., the son of H. K. and Caroline McVey. His marriage to Lillie Mae Crist took place at Floris in 1900. She died in 1956.
