On May 7, he had suffered a stroke from which he never had fully recovered. He had been at the hospital since Oct. 9. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian church east of Kamrar, preceded by a brief service at 1 o'clock at the family home in Kamrar. The Rev. The body will lie in state at Foster's until noon Wednesday, at which time the body will be taken to the Klaver home. George G. Klaver, son of Geerd and Philbina Klaver, was born June 8, 1870, at Tichelwarf-Ostfriesland, Germany. He was reared and educated in Germany, coming to America when he was 14 years old, locating in Hamilton county near Kamrar. March 3, 1893, he was united in marriage to Jennie Tempel at the Presbyterian church by the Rev. H. A. Van Griethuysen. In March, 1955 they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. The couple had always lived on a farm near Kamrar, moving into Kamrar 14 years ago, their home since. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Bina; two grandchildren and five brothers. Surviving are his wife; five sons and five daughters: Mrs. Henry (Tillie) Hanson of Battle Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Evert (Gertie) Letcher of Buffalo Center, Iowa; John Klaver, Webster City; Joe Klaver of Stratford; Peter Klaver, Jewell; Mrs. Fred (Jennie) McCameron of Cresco; Mrs. Victor (Freda) Lockwood of Kamrar; Mrs. Marie Read of Kamrar; Richard Klaver of Jewell and Bernard Klaver of Jewell. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bina Smith of Kamrar. He was baptized in the Presbyterian faith and had been a member of the Kamrar Presbyterian church since Sept 3, 1893. He was known as a friendly, cooperative gentleman and had made many close friends throughout the Kamrar community. He will be greatly missed both by his relatives and his friends.
