When 2 years old he moved with his parents to Nebraska and they lived for a time at Dunbar and Bennet. Then they moved to Central City, where he grew to manhood. Read More	Garden County News (Oshkosh, Nebraska), Mar. 10, 1949, Page 12 George Heaster Grace, son of John McFarlane and Mary Elizabeth Grace was born at Columbus, Ohio on December 8, 1878, and passed away on February 28, 1949 at Mary Lanning hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 70 years 2 months and 20 days. When 2 years old he moved with his parents to Nebraska and they lived for a time at Dunbar and Bennet. Then they moved to Central City, where he grew to manhood. In 1904 he was united in marriage to Grace M. Herring. They lived on a farm near Archer for eleven years, moving to Big Springs in 1916, where they lived until four years ago. Then they moved to Lewellen. Mr. Grace was very active in the better things of life, lending a helping hand when needed, giving timely and fatherly advice to many who needed council and advice, he was kind and sympathetic to an erring fellow man, and instead of a kick he gave a lift at the point most needed. Many times he literally went the second mile. He was a great friend of children and did all that he could to shield them from the injustices of life. Mr. Grace was an active worker with the church, giving of time and finances to build a strong Christian organization where ever he lived. He is survived by his widow and one son, Dale Edward, four Grand Children and daughter-in-law. Also three brothers, W. P. [editor: William] Grace of Central City; A. L. [editor: Albert Lawson] Grace of California, and L. E. [editor: Leslie Earl] Grace of Boulder City, Nevada; and three sisters, Mrs. Ray G?ham [editor: ink is smeared, either Alice or Orpha] of Peetz, Colorado; Mrs. Charles [editor: either Alice or Orpha] Smith; of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Hattie Brings of Central City. Also a host of friends. A loving husband and father, a fine neighbor and a good citizen has answered the call of the Master. He shall be greatly missed, but his influence lives on.
