Description	:	George was the son and oldest child of Jacob Fullam Morey and Jane Moore. His father died when George was only 12 in 1857, but his mother didn't remarry until 1873, when she married Henry L Clark. On Dec 28, 1870 in Tunbridge, VT he married Mary P Noyes, daughter of George Wasington Noyes and Lucy Poole. Their children were Nelly J, Eva M, Georgie, Freddie, and Charles Henry. Read More	George was the son and oldest child of Jacob Fullam Morey and Jane Moore. His father died when George was only 12 in 1857, but his mother didn't remarry until 1873, when she married Henry L Clark. On Dec 28, 1870 in Tunbridge, VT he married Mary P Noyes, daughter of George Wasington Noyes and Lucy Poole. Their children were Nelly J, Eva M, Georgie, Freddie, and Charles Henry. Nelly was the only one born in VT. The others were all born at Hart's Location, NH. George was a long-time friend, caretaker, and manager of Dr. Samuel Bemis's farm, saw mill, and property, which included his granite mansion now known as The Notchland Inn. He inherited it all from Dr. Bemis when he died in 1881. When George died in 1902 he left it all to his minor son, Charles. When George died in 1902 they were living in Portland, ME where he was a lumber merchant. The property he inherited had included a sawmill. After his son Charles married in 1906 he and his wife, Florence, took over the Bemis property. George died of Meningitis and was brought home to be buried in this cemetery on his property. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two young sons, Georgie and Freddie. For some reason George's will was written and probated in Sheridan County, Wyoming. Listed in the Will Book as follows: MOREY, GEORGE W. of Hart's Location in the County of Carroll in the State of New Hampshire. Page 27 Will dated 15 October 1900. Probated 15 January 1903. Mentions: Executors Wife Mary P. Morey and John H. Fogg of Portland, Maine. Son: Charles H. Morey. Daughters: Eva M. Smith and Nellie J. Percival. Brother: Charles W. Morey. Wife's brothers: Marcellus C. Noyes and Eugene H. Noyes. Witnesses: Frederick J. Ilsley, William K. Neal and John T. agon.
