Occupation: Farmer MO d/c 15060 GEORGE HART, SHELBY FARMER, DIED ON SUNDAY Shelbina, Mo., April 15.—George Irvin Hart, 71, a farmer living nine miles southwest of here, died Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his home following an illness of about one month. He had been a resident of Shelby county more than sixty years. Born in Ohio on Oct. 22, 1858, he came to Missouri at the age of ten. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Virgie Phillips, near Maud; Miss Christie Hart at home and Miss Aretha Hart, an instructor in the Shelbyville schools; a son, J. W. Hart at home, and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Hedrick of Clarence. Services were held at the residence Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock with burial in Oak Ridge cemetery. He came with his parents to Missouri when about 9 years of age, settling near Walkersville. On Feb. 14, 1884 he was married to Miss Mary Elizabeth Cornelius of Oak Ridge neighborhood. To this union four children were born namely, Mrs. Virgie Phillips, J. W. Hart, and Misses Christina and Aretha, at home. There are three grandchildren, Ruth, Leah and Paul Phillips. He was a member of a large family of six boys and two girls, one sister surviving him, the other sister, Mrs. Mary Lucas, preceded him in death just four years. Mr. Hart was converted at Oak Ridge church under the ministry of Revs. R. L. Skinner and R. T. Colburn. He was a kind, considerate neighbor, an indulgent husband and father. He had been in declining health for about 12 years, but confined to bed less than four weeks. Since his health failed him he had not been able to attend church regularly, but always tried to attend the funeral of his friends. He spoke during his last illness of putting his trust in his Lord and Saviour. All was done for him that loving hands could do. He passed peacefully out of this world at the family home, where he has with the help of a good Christian companion reared a fine family, Sunday afternoon at 2:30. He leaves besides the immediate family many relatives and friends to mourn his going. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon by Rev.
