Description	:	Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from St. Michael's church for George J. Hamilton, 80, a prominent Albion farmer who had passed away at his home Sunday after an extended illness. Mr. Hamilton was injured in a fall in July 1936, from which he never fully recovered. George Hamilton was born in Erie, Ill., May 9, 1857. He was married to Mary E. Queeney on Dec. 27, 1877, and moved to Iowa the year following his marriage. Hamilton, 80, a prominent Albion farmer who had passed away at his home Sunday after an extended illness. Mr. Hamilton was injured in a fall in July 1936, from which he never fully recovered. George Hamilton was born in Erie, Ill., May 9, 1857. He was married to Mary E. Queeney on Dec. 27, 1877, and moved to Iowa the year following his marriage. He farmed near Dunlap and Woodbine for more than 30 years, moving to Tekamah and then to Albion in May, 1917. Mrs. Hamilton preceded him in death March 24, 1935. He is survived by six children, Mrs. Dale Smith, Mrs. Leo Tobin, Tekamah, Will of Albion, Viola, Columbus, Melvin and Etta at home, one sister, May Petera of Erie, Ill., and nine grandchildren. Mr. Hamilton had been prominent in farming circles and community activities during his life and was known as a good husband and father and a kind and thoughtful neighbor.
