Description	:	George L. Renner, son of August Renner, deceased, and his wife, Rosina, nee Riepl, was born near Kramer, Lancaster County, February 14, 1892. Early in infancy, his parents brought him to the Lord in Holy Baptism, which was performed by Rev. L. Huber, then pastor of St. John's congregation at Kramer. In his early youth, he was instructed in the rudiments of the Christian religion and was confirmed April 8, 1890, receiving as his memory verse the words of our Savior recorded by Matthew 26, 41, "Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing... Read More	George L. Renner, son of August Renner, deceased, and his wife, Rosina, nee Riepl, was born near Kramer, Lancaster County, February 14, 1892. Early in infancy, his parents brought him to the Lord in Holy Baptism, which was performed by Rev. L. Huber, then pastor of St. John's congregation at Kramer. In his early youth, he was instructed in the rudiments of the Christian religion and was confirmed April 8, 1890, receiving as his memory verse the words of our Savior recorded by Matthew 26, 41, "Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak." He remained at home after the death of his father while two of his brothers rendered service to their country during the world war. Upon the retirement of his mother from the farm, he was employed at various places. For some time he was employed in the Crete Mills. On April 22, 1928 he entered the estate of holy matrimony with Kathryn Mundt. This union was blessed with two children, Donald, 8 years old and Kathryn Ann, 3 years old. All the years of his married life were spent in Crete. His health did not permit his continuing in the mill. Two years ago, he was overcome by the heat. A recurrence of this trouble last summer and again this summer left its effects upon him physically and mentally. He came to a tragic end Wednesday morning by his own hand. He leaves to mourn his sudden end, his wife; two children; mother; five sisters, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Mundt Jr., Rose Von Warmer, Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Scherikau, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, and Miss Mathilde Renner; and three brothers, August, Fred, and Matt, besides a host of friends. He reached the age of 45 years, 7 months, and 8 days. Private funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, Rev. Adolph Schrein officiating. Interment was made in the Kramer Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, Melvin and Raymond Renner, Donald and Harold Mundt, Floyd and Melvin Mundt.
