R. P. Skinner, officiating, asisted by the choir. Mr. McFadden passed away in Helena Friday at St. John's hospital a short time after being taken from his home in Townsend, having been in poor health for several years, following operations at the Mayo clinic. R. P. Skinner, officiating, asisted by the choir. Mr. McFadden passed away in Helena Friday at St. John's hospital a short time after being taken from his home in Townsend, having been in poor health for several years, following operations at the Mayo clinic. Remains were brought to Townsend Sunday, to the home of his sister, Mrs. Wilcox, and then taken to the church. George Newlan McFadden was born in Carrollton, Ky., April 17, 1866. He came to Montana with his parents at the age of two years, his home having been in and near Townsend since that time. He attended the Sister's school in Helena when young, later going to Valparaiso, Ind. He was in the forestry service for some time an was also interested in mining. He was not married. Interment was made in the family lot at Centerville cemetery. Pall bearers were, A G McCormick, Cecil Wine, Gene McCarthy, Willis Smith, B. Thompson and Charles Kanouse. Deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lena Wilcox; nephews, S. D. VanVoast, Emmett Doherty and Frederic VanVoast and a niece, Gretchen VanVoast of Townsend; Mrs. Arnet Johnson of Sunburst, Mrs. Kenneth Starchan of Billings, Mrs. Hazel Henderson and Elmer Berg of Washington.
