Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Nelson-Berger Moringside Chapel, with the Rev. Charles E. Mason officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with full military rites by the 185th Tactical Fighter Group. Mr. Bornholtz was born Aug. 31, 1920, in rural Plymouth County. He attended schools in Hinton and graduated from Hinton High School. He attended Central College in Pella and Morningside College. After college he entered the Army Air Corps, in 1942. He served in both World War II and the Korean War. Afterward he continued in the military full-time with the 174th Tactical Fighter Group, which became the 185th Fighter Group. He had been a Sioux City resident since 1955. He married Virginia Boyer June 8, 1957, in Casper, Wyo. He retired from the military in 1965, and brought Moville Feed and Grain in 1967. He retired, a well-known supplier of feed to several local horse racing tracks, in early 1990. He was a member of Morningside Lodge 615 A. F. & A. M., the Abu Bekr Shrine Cycle Corps and York Rite Bodies. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tim Bornholtz of San Diego, Bob Bornholtz of Camdenton, Mo., and Dale MacMillian of Iowa City; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Terry) Klopstad of Sioux City; and nine grandchildren.
